Reporting to: Director of Marketing and Communications

This is a new role within the organisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in working with other stakeholders to develop and execute a programme of regional events (breakfasts, roundtables, investor / press briefings, webinars, etc.) to support the strategic objectives of FAIRR and JCF. 

The initial goal is to host 3-4 in the first year, benchmark progress and set a longer term set of objectives. The successful candidate will also coordinate and provide logistical support for other events promoting our research, engagement, and investor outreach, including both digital and in-person formats. The successful candidate will own and manage an overall calendar of events for the organisation, providing both visibility and regular reporting on events to the Director of Communications and Marketing.

The candidate will be a collaborative team player able to partner well with colleagues and stakeholders across FAIRR and JCF.

Key Responsibilities
• Arrange high-quality FAIRR-owned events globally (initially 3-4 in the first year), and manage them on-site and/or remotely, as required.
• Work with multiple internal stakeholders to support agenda planning for new series of regional forums for FAIRR.
• Create and maintain a calendar of FAIRR and JCF events and staff participation in third-party hosted events to enable cross-team visibility into organisational activities.
• Manage relations with appropriate service providers to deliver high-quality experience for attendees at FAIRR- and JCF-owned events.
• Manage logistics (and content where applicable) for all internal and external FAIRR- and JCF-owned events and webinars.
• Negotiating and enforcing favourable terms and conditions with event-related suppliers, to ensure value for money.
• Provide support to FAIRR staff participating in key third-party / global events (COP, New York Climate Action Week, UNGA, Davos, etc.)
• Support broader events planning across the broader Coller ecosystem (including Coller Capital) when necessary.
• Provide regular updates and reporting on events-related activities (events calendar, business planning, budgets, and tracking) to Director of Communications and Marketing, and others as appropriate
Essential Criteria
• Demonstratable experience in a similar role
• High-level experience of all aspects of event planning and management
• High level experience and understanding of overseeing event production suppliers
• High-level experience of working with speakers, moderators, and agenda planning
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Able to navigate multi-stakeholder environment and competing priorities
• Adaptable with flexible work patterns
• Independent and proactive problem solver
• Takes responsibility for tasks to completion
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Ability to maintain discretion
• Financially literate with experience of managing budgets
• Excellent CRM (Salesforce) and associated IT skills (MS Office suite)
